When visiting Alabaster Caverns State Park, the main attraction is found along the guided tour route. The route features a ¾ mile section made from solid alabaster. The alabaster is a rare form of gypsum, and you will see various forms of the element when visiting the cave. It is considered to be the largest natural gypsum cave open to the public in the world. It is also one of the only caves that give you a guided tour and teaches you about the element when visiting.
